The goal of the Mountain View High School baseball program is to build a winning tradition, to develop its players to be responsible on the playing field, in the classroom, in the community; and to foster camaraderie and teamwork towards a winning attitude.

Fowler Signs with Coppin State!
Mountain View OF Kendal Fowler has chosen to continue his baseball career at Coppin State!  Congratulations Kendal!
Lopez Commits to VCU
SS Craig Lopez verbally committed to continue his baseball career at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Craig Committed during the early commitment period and will be a dual player, RHP and Middle Infield.  Congratulations Craig!
Fall Ball Meeting Tuesday, August 2nd!
An informational meeting regarding try-outs and league play for the Rappahannock Fall Baseball League will take place at the Mountain View Baseball field on Tuesday, August 2nd at 6PM.  THIS IS NOT A PRACTICE.  This is an informational meeting only.

Wildcats move on!
The MVHS baseball team beat visiting Brooke Point yesterday, advancing to the second round of the Commonwealth district playoffs.  They will host North Stafford High School on Wednesday.  First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.  Senior night will begin at 4:50.
Wildcats Win! Force a Playoff With Forge!
The Wildcats beat visiting Brooke Point yesterday 6-0 to set the stage for a one-game playoff with Colonial Forge Friday night to determine the Commonwealth District Champion.  With a victory, Mountain View would win it's first district championship and regional tournament berth in school history.

Craig Lopez led off the fifth inning with a double and later scored on Isaac Geisler's sacrifice fly to give the Wildcats the go-ahead run against the Bears last night.

Jason Hager added an RBI-double for Mountain View. Andrew Slupek earned the win in relief, and had a double at the plate. Corey Haynes had a save, striking out the final Riverbend batter with the winning run on second base.

Mountain View (7-2, 4-2) plays at Brooke Point on Friday.

Wildcat Bats Lead to a Blow-Out!

Congratulations to The Varsity baseball team for a 21-1 victory over Massaponax. Cody LaRowe 4 RBI’S, Craig Lopez 3RBI’S, Aaron Williams and John Reep lead the hitting attack with 3 hits apiece. Jason Hager added a Home Run AND 3 RBI’S. Mikey Bruno was the winning pitcher surrendering just 1 hit and striking out 9. Andrew Slupek finished the game pitching 1 scoreless inning.

Great team effort and win Wildcats!

Stafford County Physical Night!
It's never too early to start thinking about next year! June 9, 2011 is the Sports Physical Night @ CFHS.  Doors open at 5pm.  These physicals will be good for the 2011-2012 school year.  This event is open to all Stafford Co. Students.  The cost is $10.00, you must have a VHSL physical form.
MVHS Wins Big Against 'Ponax!

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball Team for their 11-1, 10 run rule win over Massaponax.  Aaron Williams, Mikey Bruno, and Jacob Lopez each had 2 hits.  Home runs by Aaron Williams and Craig Lopez.  Pitching the whole game was Jacob Lopez with 5 strikeouts.  GREAT WIN GUYS!

Wildcats Improve to 3-0!

Congratulations to the Baseball team for their 9-5 win over Forest Park on Tuesday night!  Powering the win were Aaron Williams, Jacob Lopez, and Jaylen Zielecki with home runs and a pitching trio of Craig Lopez, Kendall Fowler, and Mikey Bruno kept Bruin bats at bay.  The Wildcats will begin Commonwealth district play Friday, when they travel to North Stafford!

Wildcats Walk-Off with a Win!

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team for their come from behind 11-10 win over Osbourn Friday night. In the bottom of the 7th the Wildcats scored 2 runs for the win. Contributions were made from everyone, great team win!

Wildcats Win Season Opener!

The Varsity Baseball Wildcats won their season opener against Forest Park 8-5.  Isaac Geisler, Aaron Williams, and Justin Kime had 2 hits each and the pitching tandem of Jacob Lopez and Corey Haynes scattered 6 hits in the win.  WAY TO GO WILDCATS!!

Wildcat Baseball 2011 is Set!
The selection process was difficult, due to the depth of talent that tried out this year!  The Varsity and JV rosters have now been set!  Thanks to all who tried out!

Mountain View Class of 2010 Shane Wolchak is now playing baseball at Bridgewater College in Harrisonburg, Virginia!  Congratualtions to another Wildcat Alumnus!
